Eucalyptus leucoxylon  'rosea' (red flowering yellow gum) is a small tree growing up to 10 metres high. This is a distict form of the highly variable Eucalyptus leucoxylon and this selected variant develops an open spreading crown, once thee tree is established.  It is quite drought and lime tolerant but also adapts really well to wetter climates. It flowers at a time of the year when not much else is flowering thus providing a necter source and colour.


Eucalyptus leucoxylon  'rosea' is a popular tree for its abundance of large mainly red flowers that cover the tree in late winter and early spring.
