Eucalyptus occidentalis (flat topped yate) is medium very hardy moderately fast growing, highly adaptable tree, is suited to both dry and wet conditions, This species can grow well in wide range of poor soil types including those prone to periodic waterlogging and those subject to salinity.
Eucalyptus occidentalis (flat topped yate) can be planted for windbreaks and shelter, land reclamation and for firewood production.
